At the Global Fintech Fest 2024 in Mumbai, Google Pay introduced UPI Circle, an innovative feature that allows users to add family members and friends as secondary users to facilitate digital payments without linking their bank accounts.

The event, which concluded on Friday, saw Google Pay make several significant announcements alongside UPI Circle, including the launch of eRupi (UPI Vouchers). These vouchers can be issued by existing UPI users, as well as government and corporate organizations.

Additionally, Google Pay rolled out Tap & Pay payments for RuPay cards, enabling cardholders to conduct transactions using their mobile phones. The company also introduced an autopay option for UPI Lite and support for ClickPay QR on the app, expanding its suite of digital payment solutions.
