Supreme Court to Host National Conference for District Judiciary

The Supreme Court of India is set to host a two-day National Conference for the District Judiciary on August 31 and September 1, 2024. The event will see participation from over 800 members of the district judiciary across the country.
The conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam. During the event, PM Modi will release a commemorative coin and postal stamp honoring the Supreme Court's 75th anniversary. Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, will also be among the dignitaries present.
President Draupadi Murmu will deliver the valedictory address on September 1, during which she will unveil the Supreme Court's flag and insignia. The event, under Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud's guidance, will feature six sessions focusing on critical topics such as infrastructure, human resources, accessibility, judicial security, case management, and judicial training.
