Delhi Police Arrests 17 in Multi-State Cybercrime Crackdown

Delhi Police have apprehended 17 suspects involved in various online scams across multiple states. In a week-long operation, raids were conducted in different states, targeting cybercrimes such as stock market scams and fake customer care schemes. The arrests were linked to six distinct cases.

In a significant multi-state operation, Delhi Police have arrested 17 individuals accused of committing various cybercrimes. The Cyber South West district orchestrated this crackdown, deploying multiple teams for raids across several states as part of a week-long Special Cyber Ops.

Raids were conducted in Mewat, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Deoghar, Dumka, Rajgarh, Sehore, Samastipur, Giridih, Jamtara, Pratapgarh, and Mumbai. The alleged cybercrimes include online stock market scams, deceptive work-from-home schemes via Telegram, fraudulent customer care numbers, scams on 99-acre and Quikr apps, and misusing the Drive Track Plus card.

According to Rohit Meena, DCP South West, the arrests were connected to six distinct cases, each involving intricate cyber fraud operations.
