Tripura CM Expresses Gratitude for Relief Fund Donations, Arunachal Pradesh Allocates Rs 5 Crore for Immediate Aid

Tripura Chief Minister on Thursday extended heartfelt thanks to donors who generously supported the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, aimed at aiding victims of severe floods and incessant rainfall. Utilizing social media platform X, he expressed his gratitude, detailing the contributions from various entities and individuals.
Prominent donors included AD Nagar English Medium School with Rs 20,000, AD Nagar HS School contributing Rs 26,500, and Sankaracharyya Vidyayatan Class-XII girls School donating Rs 28,000. The Gomati Cooperation Milk Producer's Union provided Rs 50,000, while individuals like Jharna Debbarma and Manika Das Datta contributed Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively.
Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu allocated Rs 5 crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for immediate relief in Tripura. He expressed solidarity with the flood victims in a social media post, stressing the importance of unity in overcoming the crisis. Tripura's Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha thanked Khandu for the crucial support, which bolsters ongoing reconstruction and relief efforts.
Since August 19, continuous rain and unprecedented flooding in Tripura have claimed 31 lives and displaced over 72,000 people. The State Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department has set up 492 relief camps and distributed clothing in the worst-hit areas of Amarpur and Karbook sub-divisions.
