Haryana Gears Up for Assembly Polls: Key Meetings and Alliances Shape Strategy
Haryana Congress leaders and BJP officials conducted crucial meetings to strategize for the upcoming Assembly elections. Congress announced no MPs would contest, while BJP and JJP formed key alliances. Voting is scheduled for October 1, with results on October 4.

Haryana Congress Chief Udai Bhan and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda arrived at Himachal Bhawan for the Haryana screening committee meeting to strategize for the upcoming Assembly elections. Discussing the candidates' list, AICC in-charge Deepak Babaria mentioned that most preparations are complete.
'More than 60% of the work has been completed. The Central Election Committee meeting is likely to be held on September 2. We are fully prepared for the elections,' Babaria stated. He criticized the BJP, alleging its control over the election commission. 'Everyone knows it's not the Election Commission; it's the BJP Commission,' he told journalists.
Babaria also announced that no Congress Member of Parliament would contest in the assembly election. Meanwhile, BJP leaders, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda, met at the residence of Union Minister JP Nadda to discuss their strategy. Prominent figures like Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, and State President Mohanlal Badoli attended.
In a significant development, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Chandra Shekar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) announced their pre-poll alliance, contesting all 90 Assembly seats. JJP will fight in 70 constituencies, while Azad Samaj Party will contest 20. Voting is set for October 1, with results declared on October 4.
