Arms and Ammunition Seized in Multiple Raids Across Manipur

In a coordinated effort, Assam Rifles, joined by the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), and Manipur Police, recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and war-like stores in the Sekmajin area of Kakching district. The recovery was announced by Assam Rifles on the social media platform X, detailing the seizure of one Sten Machine Gun, two 9mm pistols, two single-barrel guns, ten grenades, and assorted ammunition on August 28.

Earlier, on August 22, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted a joint operation in the general area of Tekcham Maning Ching in Thoubal District. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the operation led to the seizure of one 9mm carbine, one bolt-action rifle, two 9mm pistols, one M20 pistol, 11 grenades, and mortar ammunition.

Continuing their crackdown, on August 19, the Indian Army, BSF, and Manipur Police targeted a suspected terror hideout in S Nabil area of Churachandpur district. The operation resulted in the recovery of two miniature rockets and other war-like stores. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to establish peace and stability in Manipur, according to state Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
