In a significant crackdown, Himachal Pradesh Police on Wednesday arrested a Nepal resident, identified as Amar Bahadur Budha, with 2.890 kg of opium. Authorities estimated the contraband's value at Rs 6,00,000.

The operation was spearheaded by personnel from the Chirgaon Police Station, with Sub-Inspector Amit Sharma leading the investigation. The probe seeks to delve into further details of the drug seizure and identify any extensive networks involved, police sources confirmed.
