Heavy rainfall on Wednesday morning caused severe waterlogging across various parts of Delhi, including the busy Mehrauli-Gurgaon road, leading to significant traffic disruptions. Visuals showed vehicles struggling through flooded streets and congestion.

The National Capital Region faced relentless rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, which further slowed down traffic. The Regional Meteorological Centre issued a yellow alert for the day, warning citizens to stay cautious.

Earlier, the Delhi Traffic Police had already issued advisories to commuters traveling towards Crown Plaza via Road No. 13 and other areas like Rohtak Road and Mathura Road, mentioning significant disruptions caused by waterlogging and potholes. The advisory encouraged travelers to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes.
