In a tragic incident in Bhagautipur village of Uttar Pradesh, two teenage girls, aged 18 and 15, were discovered hanging from a tree, according to Farrukhabad Police on Tuesday. The police are investigating the case, with preliminary findings suggesting a joint suicide.

Pappu, the father of one of the deceased girls, spoke to ANI about the harrowing event. "We returned from the temple at night, and the girls mentioned they were heading back there for a program. I fell asleep due to exhaustion from farm work. When the program ended at midnight, I couldn't find them anywhere. It was only the next morning when someone found their bodies," he explained.

Pappu suspects foul play, claiming, "I believe someone murdered them and then hanged the bodies, though I have no known enemies." Farrukabad SP Alok Priyadarshi said the girls appeared to have climbed the tree and used a dupatta to hang themselves, but the postmortem will provide clearer answers. A mobile phone and SIM card were found at the scene and are being investigated. The family has filed a case, and further investigations are underway.
