Delhi's Rohini Court on Tuesday postponed the case related to the BBC documentary 'India: The Modi Question' until December 18, 2024. Additional District Judge Ruchika Singla provided one more week for the petitioner to complete procedural formalities.

Previously, on April 29, the court had issued a fresh summons to the BBC at its UK address due to earlier summons not being served. ADJ Singla mentioned the necessity to follow proper procedures under the Hague Convention for summoning foreign entities.

The lawsuit, filed by Binay Kumar Singh, seeks to restrain the publication of the BBC documentary, alleging it contains defamatory content aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and associated groups. The petitioner has also demanded an apology and damages amounting to Rs.10 lakhs from the defendants.
