Delhi Traffic Advisory: Commuters Warned of Waterlogging and Potholes

The Delhi Traffic Police issued advisories warning commuters of significant disruptions due to waterlogging and potholes in various regions, including the Okhla Underpass, Rohtak Road, and Mathura Road. Drivers should plan journeys accordingly, as heavy vehicles face difficulties and alternate routes are recommended.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory Tuesday for commuters traveling towards Crown Plaza on Road No. 13. Waterlogging at the Okhla Underpass may cause significant congestion. "Traffic is affected in the carriageway from Road No. 13 towards Crown Plaza due to waterlogging at Okhla Underpass. Kindly plan your journey accordingly," read the advisory on X.

Additionally, the Delhi Traffic Police advisory on X informed commuters of affected traffic on Rohtak Road from Nangloi towards Tikri Border due to potholes and waterlogging. Commuters and heavy vehicles, including buses, face problems wading through water and crossing the road. "Traffic is affected on Rohtak Road in the carriageway from Nangloi towards Tikri Border due to potholes and waterlogging. Kindly avoid Mundka and take alternate routes accordingly," the advisory read.

Traffic is also affected on Mathura Road from Badarpur towards Sarita Vihar due to an uprooted tree near Mohan Estate Metro Station. Last week, heavy waterlogging caused congestion at Dhaula Kuan, with vehicles struggling due to the downpour. Severe waterlogging was witnessed near Ashram Bridge after incessant rains. One commuter reported being stuck for three hours.

Meanwhile, the IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall in East and Northeast India, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. (ANI)
