Janmashtami celebrations across the nation drew massive crowds, with devotees thronging temples to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. An incident resembling a stampede occurred at the ISKCON Temple in Patna, but Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra confirmed no injuries were reported, and the situation was swiftly brought under control.

Prominent figures such as Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla were seen paying their respects at various temples. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in prayers at Gorakhnath Temple and interacted with children dressed as Krishna.

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav led prayers at the Sandipani Ashram, while Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan celebrated at his Bhopal residence. The devotion of millions was evident, with celebratory chants of 'Hare Krishna' filling the air, and special prayers at Mathura's Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple highlighting the fervor of the festivities.
