In a swift operation, Delhi Police arrested a 35-year-old plumber from Begumpur for allegedly kidnapping a four-year-old girl from Rohini's Bharat Vihar area. The abduction took place on August 24, 2024, while the child was playing in the street.
The police promptly received a PCR call and registered a case at PS Begumpur under Section 137(2) BNS. A special investigation team was quickly formed given the case's sensitivity, aiming to ensure the child's safe recovery.
By utilizing local informers and reviewing CCTV footage, the team identified and apprehended the suspect, a Begumpur resident. The young girl was safely rescued within four hours. The accused, who works as a plumber and whitewasher, remains in police custody as the investigation is ongoing. (ANI)
