On Sunday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh called on social media volunteers to decisively counter the 'misinformation' propagated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at the National Social Media Meet in the capital, senior AAP leaders stressed the importance of social media in combating false narratives and ensuring the public receives accurate information.

They emphasized the need for a strategic and calm approach to counter the BJP's panic-inducing tactics and 'divide and rule' strategy. Leaders also underscored the necessity of leveraging social media to challenge falsehoods, promote the AAP's development work, and push forward with CM Arvind Kejriwal's agenda for providing quality education and healthcare for all.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Cabinet Minister Atishi, Senior Leader Jasmine Shah, Chief AAP Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar, and MLA Somnath Bharti met with volunteers during the event. Singh highlighted social media's critical role in exposing the BJP's shortcomings and divisive tactics, urging volunteers to maintain their resolve in combating misinformation.

Singh applauded the dedication of AAP's social media workers for challenging the alleged lies spread by the BJP, which he labeled the 'Bharatiya Jooth Party.' He remarked, 'We built a powerful movement with the Anna Andolan and AAP through social media and must continue to use strategy and resolve to counter the BJP's actions.'

Sanjay Singh criticized the BJP's 11-year rule, citing unfulfilled promises and alleged attempts to demoralize AAP leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. He accused the BJP of employing a 'divide and rule' strategy and spreading panic, making a call for journalists and media professionals to speak truth to power and expose government misdeeds.

Cabinet Minister Atishi noted that social media volunteers' roles extend beyond mere responses on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. She emphasized the increasing prevalence of misinformation and the critical role of volunteers in ensuring accurate information reaches the public, comparing AAP's demonstrable achievements in education and healthcare to BJP's reliance on false narratives.

Senior leader Jasmine Shah commended volunteers' dedication, attributing the AAP's growth and electoral successes to their efforts. Despite recent challenges, including arrests of key party figures, Shah praised the resilience of the AAP's social media team.

Chief AAP Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar highlighted the party's substantial online presence, insisting that the dedication of volunteers was crucial. She urged the use of new technologies and creative content to further AAP's agenda of good health and education for all.
