Former Karnataka Chief Minister and current MP Basavaraj Bommai has alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is orchestrating a parade of MLAs in Delhi to divert attention from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Bommai emphasized that the MUDA scam is under legal scrutiny and should be resolved through judicial means.

'We need to see how the developments unfold and what the High Court decides. The Chief Minister is using political tactics to retain his position,' Bommai said. He accused Congress leaders of having double standards regarding the allotment of land to Jindal at a lower price, criticizing their differing stances when in power and in opposition.

'We had previously reconsidered our stance on this due to opposition, but now the same Congress leaders who had strongly opposed it are in favor of it,' he added. Bommai also defended the Governor's decision to return certain bills for clarification, stating the Governor has the authority to seek clarifications on any bill that contradicts public interest and to withhold approval if necessary.

On the legal front, the Karnataka High Court on Monday instructed the trial court not to take any precipitative action against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding the Governor's sanction in the MUDA scam until the next hearing. A complaint alleging document forgery was filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna against the Karnataka CM and nine others to claim compensation from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority.
