YSRCP former MLA Pinneli Ramakrishna Reddy, arrested in an EVM-breaking case, was released from Nellore prison on Saturday following bail granted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The court's decision was a significant relief for Reddy, who had faced severe allegations including attacking police at a polling center in the Macharla constituency.

Former YSRCP Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy criticized the Telugu Desham Party-led government for what he termed as 'foisting false cases' on Macherla's MLA. He labeled Ramakrishna Reddy a 'people's leader,' noting his four-time electoral success from Macharla.

Govardhan Reddy accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of 'intimidating' political critics by filing dubious cases. He stated that while EVMs were destroyed in various locations, only Ramakrishna Reddy was targeted. He warned that such actions could have severe repercussions for Naidu in the future.

Continuing his criticism, Govardhan Reddy said Naidu had failed to fulfill his election promise of good governance within 100 days, leaving people to ridicule him. He assured that YSRCP members would face any legal challenges with courage.

Ramakrishna Reddy's arrest was based on allegations that he destroyed Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and attacked police during the recent Andhra Pradesh general elections. Captured on a web camera, these actions prompted an Election Commission of India investigation, ultimately leading to his arrest and subsequent bail.
