In Agartala, Tripura, residents displaced by severe floods praised the state government's relief efforts, particularly lauding Chief Minister Manik Saha's leadership. Despite the commendable support, they urged for additional assistance to address property damage and personal losses.
Aruna Sarkar from Jayanagar expressed gratitude, appreciating the well-organized camps. 'The government is providing all necessary supplies, including food and clean water,' she said. Ananta Vaishnav, at another camp, commended the meals and facilities but highlighted dietary adjustments. 'The overall arrangements are commendable,' he added, while urging further help for property damage.
CM Manik Saha will chair an all-party meeting to review the flood situation. According to state data, 24 people have perished and significant infrastructure damages are reported. Rescue operations continue with support from NDRF and SDRF teams in Gomati and South Tripura.
