Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Bhararisain on Thursday, expressing gratitude on behalf of regional residents for recommending the strengthening of the Mori Netwar Sankri Jakhol Motor Road (State Highway No. 48) in the Mori Block of Uttarkashi district using Hotmix/FDR technology. According to Lal, the road enhancements will significantly ease commuting for locals.

Lal highlighted that locals had long been demanding the road's strengthening, a sentiment acknowledged by Chief Minister Dhami, who confirmed that the enhancements would reflect public wishes. This recommendation was made during the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) meeting on Wednesday under Chief Secretary Dhami's chairmanship, approving the road's 42.15 km length reinforcement.

Earlier today, CM Dhami conducted an aerial survey and field inspection in Ghutu, Panjya, and Devling areas of Ghansali tehsil in the Tehri Garhwal district, inspecting damage from cloudbursts and heavy rains. Speaking to reporters, Dhami stated that he had directed the District Administration to assess all affected villages and implement relief measures for those impacted by the calamity. He emphasized that officials have also been instructed to alert residents about potential natural disasters in advance.
