Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Three Advocates for Delhi High Court Judges
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended advocates Ajay Digpaul, Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar, and Shwetasree Majumder for appointment as judges of Delhi High Court, following consultation with Acting Chief Justice Manmohan.

The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday recommended the appointment of three advocates as judges of Delhi High Court. The Collegium, comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices Sanjiv Khanna and BR Gavai, named advocates Ajay Digpaul, Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar, and Shwetasree Majumder.
After consulting with Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice Manmohan, the Collegium determined the advocates were fit and suitable for the judicial positions. In its resolution, the Collegium stated it assessed the merit and suitability based on the material reviewed.
The Collegium also considered the observations made by the Department of Justice. Given all relevant factors, the Collegium concluded that the candidates are suitable for appointment as judges of the Delhi High Court. The resolution recommended their appointments and emphasized that their seniority will be fixed as per existing practice.
