Four publicly listed real estate investment trusts (REITs) in India—Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, and Nexus Select Trust—have distributed Rs 1,371 crore to their unit holders in the first quarter of the fiscal year, according to industry data.

The Indian REITs Association (IRA) revealed that over the June quarter, these REITs distributed more than Rs 1,371 crore to over 2,45,000 unit holders. Since their inception in the past five years, these trusts have collectively distributed more than Rs 18,000 crore.

The Indian REIT market now manages assets worth over Rs 1,40,000 crore, spanning approximately 122 million square feet of prime office and retail space.
