Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the BJP's 'Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra' in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, as per an official statement. This event, organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, aims to foster national pride and unity by encouraging citizens to display the Indian flag. The Yatra will commence at 4.30 pm in the Viratnagar area.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra' is part of a wider initiative to motivate citizens to hoist the national flag at their residences, reinforcing a sense of patriotism and national identity. The BJP has rolled out the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign nationwide, with the central government urging every household, shop, and office to display the tricolour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier called upon citizens to join the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in his Mann Ki Baat address on July 28, ahead of Independence Day on August 15. The campaign, launched in 2021 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, marks the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The initiative aims to stir patriotic sentiments and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. Both Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah have urged widespread participation, with a call to change profile pictures to the tricolour and share selfies.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra' is designed to cultivate patriotic fervor and national unity by encouraging residents to proudly display the Indian flag at their homes.
