Tragic Incident: Man Jumps to Death at Maharaja Surajmal Metro Station
A 49-year-old man named Harish committed suicide by jumping from an elevated platform at Maharaja Surajmal metro station in West Delhi. Harish, an employee of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, was declared dead at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. No suicide note was found, and his family has been informed.

A man committed suicide by jumping from an elevated platform at Maharaja Surajmal metro station in west Delhi on Thursday, police confirmed.
The deceased was identified as Harish, 49, a resident of Rohini Sector-7 and employee at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), according to the authorities.
A video circulating on social media purports to show Harish sitting on the parapet of the metro station after climbing over the railings. Security personnel can be seen attempting to save him, with some holding a blanket.
Despite the efforts, Harish jumped when a security guard tried to grab him. Police received information about the incident around 1 p.m. and rushed to the scene. Harish was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
No suicide note was discovered at the site, and the body has been sent for post-mortem. Harish leaves behind his wife and two children, who have been informed of the tragedy.
