JSW Neo Energy Secures Major Solar Contract from SECI
JSW Energy's subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy Limited, has won a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 230 MW of power from its renewable energy project. This achievement follows a tariff-based competitive bidding process and boosts JSW's overall generation capacity to 16.4 GW, with future plans for reaching 10 GW capacity by FY25.
JSW Energy's subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy Limited, has been awarded a significant contract from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the supply of 230 MW of power from its renewable energy initiative. The award, announced on Thursday, comes after a rigorous tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The secured energy supply order will increase JSW Energy's locked-in generation capacity to 16.4 GW, further solidifying its position in the renewable energy sector. The company's current hybrid capacity stands at 2.3 GW, including firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE).
Looking ahead, JSW Energy aims to expand its installed generation capacity significantly, targeting 10 GW by the end of FY25, up from the present 7.5 GW. This ambitious plan underscores the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
