Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma enhanced security measures at Kaziranga National Park by handing over 20 inflatable rubber boats on Wednesday. The initiative aims to thwart poaching and encroachment attempts.

During a press briefing, CM Sarma recalled, "In June, our Forest Protection Force requested new patrol boats to check poaching and encroaching attempts. In less than 60 days, they have been delivered."

Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, is renowned for its rich biodiversity. Home to over 2200 Indian one-horned rhinos and a variety of species, it remains a global attraction as well as a critical conservation area.
