Tamil Nadu Remembers M. Karunanidhi on Sixth Death Anniversary

On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin honored his predecessor, M. Karunanidhi, on his sixth death anniversary. Accompanied by his son, DMK Youth Wing Secretary and Minister for Youth, Udhayanidhi Stalin, he paid floral tributes and highlighted how Karunanidhi fostered love in Tamil Nadu politics.
Using the social media platform X, Udhayanidhi lauded Karunanidhi as a transformative thinker who broke centuries of dominance with his innovative ideas. He noted, "We paid floral tributes to his portrait placed near the statue of Kalaignar at the Omandurar complex near Anna Salai in Chennai."
The Congress party also paid homage to Karunanidhi, lauding his contributions to social justice and Tamil Nadu's progress. Over 500 cadres, including Kanchipuram Assembly members and the Kanchipuram Mayor, participated in a peace rally, paying floral tributes to Karunanidhi's statue in Kanchipuram district in alignment with party directives.
