Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi unveiled the 'CNS Course to Steer-2024 (CTS-2024)' document, outlining his vision for a combat-ready, credible, cohesive, and future-ready navy for a prosperous India.

An Indian Navy spokesperson noted that CNS Tripathi urged the naval community to fulfill their mandate with dedication, using CTS-2024 as a strategic tool to manage change and protect the nation's maritime interests. The document embodies his comprehensive plans for a Vikshit Bharat.

Admiral Tripathi assumed command as the 26th Chief of Naval Staff on April 30, succeeding Admiral R. Hari Kumar. Recently, the Indian Navy's INS Shalki was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in Colombo, marking a two-day goodwill visit with high-level interactions.

The Shishumar-class submarine, INS Shalki, commissioned in February 1992, is India's first-ever indigenous submarine. Concurrently, the Indian Navy's INS Tabar conducted a successful Maritime Partnership Exercise with Russia's Soobrazitelny, strengthening Indo-Russian naval ties and participating in the 328th Russian Navy Day Parade.

India and Russia maintain strong bilateral relations, with extensive maritime cooperation. The visit of INS Tabar aimed to reinforce this cordial relationship and explore new avenues for enhanced cooperation.
