Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Friday acquitted six individuals accused of rioting and other offences tied to the 2020 Delhi riots, finding no evidence against them. The court stated that there was no single piece of evidence pointing to the accused. The case originated from an FIR lodged at Karawal Nagar police station in February 2020.

Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala declared, "I find that charges levelled against the accused in this case are not proven." Consequently, Hashim Ali, Abu Bakar, Mohd. Ajeej, Rashid Ali, Nazmuddin alias Bhola, and Mohammad Danish were acquitted of all charges. The acquittal was based on the absence of evidence linking the accused to the riotous mob responsible for the attack on Naresh Chand and Dharampal's premises.

The court observed that the CDR and Cell ID Charts presented did not establish the exact location or involvement of the accused in the incident. Additionally, the court noted the video footage failed to identify any of the accused individuals conclusively. Advocates for the accused argued there was no substantiating evidence, while the prosecution claimed that the DVR content, despite being proven, didn't conclusively identify the accused.
