Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the central government of using the Raj Bhawan to destabilize his administration. Speaking at Mysuru airport, Siddaramaiah stated that the Governor's recent show cause notice over the MUDA scam was both 'illegal and unconstitutional'.

He contended that the central government is employing the Raj Bhawan to undermine the elected government, noting that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar chaired a cabinet meeting in his stead to avoid setting a negative precedent. Siddaramaiah emphasized the perceived haste in the Governor's actions, describing it as a 'bad tradition' and asserting the unlawfulness of the notice.

Siddaramaiah spotlighted ongoing cases against former ministers and insisted that the Governor's uninformed actions lacked legal basis. He reiterated the need for all laws to be scrutinized when dealing with a government that enjoys the support of 136 MLAs. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister is focused on addressing damage caused by heavy rains in the Kodagu district.
