In a concerted effort, Special Task Force units from Kolkata and Patna, supported by local police from Bihar's Madharwa Station, conducted a successful raid on Monday night, uncovering an active mini gun manufacturing factory in Ruprahimpur village, Saran district. The raid resulted in the detention of four skilled workers and the owner, Akhilesh Kumar Kushwaha, while his accomplice Anil Kumar Yadav remains at large.

The raid yielded significant recoveries including a 7.65 mm semi-automatic improvised firearm, live cartridges, numerous semi-finished pistol parts, and various machining equipment used in firearm production. Those detained were identified as Mohammad Chand alias Domu (30), Mohammad Sahil Alam (20), MD Irfan, and Mohammad Parwaz Alam. A case is set to be registered at the Madharwa Police Station.

In a related operation, the Indian Army and Manipur Police jointly recovered a massive arms cache in Imphal East district earlier this month. Acting on precise intelligence, they launched a 72-hour-long search operation involving Patrol and Explosive Detection Dogs due to the challenging terrain. The operation unveiled a trove of arms, including thirteen Long Range Mortars, multiple rifles, grenades, and various improvised explosive devices.
