Ukraine Ensures Smooth Oil Transit Amid Sanctions
Ukraine pledges uninterrupted oil transit for non-sanctioned firms and expresses readiness to address issues with Slovakia according to the EU Association Agreement. A Ukrainian deputy energy minister emphasized that Slovakia hasn't yet activated the mechanism for resolving transit issues despite Ukraine's readiness to engage at the expert level.
Ukraine has guaranteed uninterrupted oil transit for companies not subject to sanctions and is prepared to address any oil transit issues with Slovakia through mechanisms outlined in the EU Association Agreement, according to a statement by a Ukrainian deputy energy minister on Tuesday.
Deputy Energy Minister Roman Andarak mentioned that Ukraine is ready to resolve potential issues at the expert level, provided Slovakia activates the relevant mechanism in the Association Agreement. He noted that Slovakia has yet to take this step.
The reassurance from Ukraine seeks to ensure continuous oil transit flow while adhering to EU regulations and maintaining international energy collaborations.
