Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Ensures Comprehensive Disaster Relief in Tehri District

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, following up on disaster relief efforts, dispatched Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey to inspect relief camps and affected areas in Tehri district on Monday. Commissioner Pandey visited multiple locations, including Government Inter College Vinak Khal, Tingarh village, and Budhakedar, addressing residents' concerns and holding crucial meetings.
CM Dhami stressed the importance of adequate funding for disaster relief. During his visit, Commissioner Pandey assessed the conditions in the relief camps, ensuring provisions like power backup, television, children's education, and livelihood support. Additionally, he instructed the District Magistrate on necessary steps for animal shelters, supply of fodder and water, and a geological survey for village rehabilitation, which has since been approved.
The Commissioner disclosed an allocation of Rs 8 crore for Budhakedar road safety and urged the Irrigation Department to expedite the tender process. Relief operations continue in the Bhilangana development block following severe rains and landslides.
CM Dhami also conferred with MLA Shakti Lal Shah and District Magistrate Mayur Dixit. He instructed immediate relocation of residents from sensitive areas and extended his condolences to affected families, urging Minister Premchand Aggarwal to oversee the relief efforts. The CM underscored the importance of protecting livestock and ensuring essential services in relief camps.
Moreover, CM Dhami directed that electricity, drinking water, and other vital services be prioritized in relief camps and prompt disbursement of relief funds to victims.
