In a call for global collaboration, Rima Hooja, President of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) India, urged collective efforts to mitigate climate change and safeguard world heritage. Acknowledging the challenge's magnitude, Hooja affirmed that united action is essential for making a tangible impact.

Speaking to ANI, Hooja highlighted recent milestones, including the designation of Assam's Charaideo Maidam as India's 43rd World Heritage site. She detailed ongoing deliberations on site protection priorities and future considerations, underscoring the proactive measures being taken.
