Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan, clarified on Saturday that the absence of a state's name in the Union Budget does not imply that funds were not allocated to them.

Murugan emphasized that states consistently receive "sufficient" funds from the Centre, citing examples of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

During a press conference, Murugan highlighted key allocations for Andhra Pradesh, including customs duty exemption on shrimp production, impetus to natural farming, Rs 168 crore for a petroleum university, and Rs 9,151 crore for railway projects. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to Andhra Pradesh's development.
