India is making strides in sustainable and futuristic development, driven by technology, innovation, and a self-reliant populace of 1.4 billion. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country aims to transform adversities into opportunities, with Banas Dairy at the forefront of this evolution.

Banas Dairy, Asia's largest dairy, has launched an advanced Bio-CNG plant that turns cow dung and potato waste into Bio-CNG—a model inspired by technology Modi observed during his visit to Japan. This innovative initiative offers sustainable energy, environmental conservation, and rural development.

Launched by Shri Shankar Chaudhary, the model processes over 40 tonnes of cow dung and potato waste daily, sourced from six villages. In the past four years, this model has led to significant environmental benefits, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting cleaner energy sources.

By converting waste into Bio-CNG, the plant reduces traditional fossil fuel reliance, supporting national sustainability and energy self-sufficiency goals. This scalable technology has immense potential, with Banaskantha's extensive cattle population supporting more than 100 such plants.

On September 6, 2023, Banas Dairy, Suzuki Motor Corporation, and the National Dairy Development Board signed an agreement for four additional Bio-CNG plants in Banaskantha. This partnership includes a ₹250 crore investment from Suzuki, aiming to establish plants with advanced Japanese technology to further boost sustainable energy initiatives.

Chairman Shri Shankar Chaudhary expressed gratitude for Suzuki's support, emphasizing the role of these biogas plants in environmental protection and the broader goal of transforming waste into valuable resources. This initiative by Banas Dairy is a testament to India's commitment to a greener and more prosperous future.
