Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the indomitable valour and courage of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War at the 'Silver Jubilee Celebration' marking the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday. Speaking at the Surya Auditorium, Central Command, Cantt, Yogi underscored that the war was imposed on India.

'Pakistan had covertly infiltrated Kashmir, imposing war on India. However, our brave soldiers determined the outcome of the war, facing adverse circumstances,' the CM stated. He further expressed pride in honouring the courageous women and families who lost loved ones in the Kargil War.

Yogi Adityanath emphasized India's tradition of being a peaceful nation, only resorting to arms when necessary. He noted the state's consistent support for the soldiers and their families, including financial assistance and employment guarantees. The CM reiterated that PM Modi's vision for a developed India is possible because of secure borders. He honored several families of fallen soldiers during the event.

Earlier, CM Yogi paid tribute to the immortal soldiers by laying a wreath and saluting them at Central Command, Cantt. He also visited an exhibition showcasing the bravery of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War. CM Yogi took to Instagram to congratulate the people of Uttar Pradesh and honor the valiant warriors of the Indian Army, saluting their dedication and spirit of sacrifice.
