Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and President Pay Tribute on Kargil Vijay Diwas

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday honored the heroes of the Kargil war at Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal, marking the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Braving the rain, CM Yadav paid floral tribute and recalled the sacrifices and courage of the soldiers who safeguarded the nation.
"We are proud of our army, who protected our country; their sacrifice and courage have created history. Amid challenges from the enemies, our soldiers not only hoisted the tricolour but also established a legacy of victory," CM Yadav said. "It has been 25 years since that glory, and many soldiers have sacrificed their lives. I pay tribute to them, and the country stands with our Army, ready to face future challenges," he added.
President Droupadi Murmu also offered tribute to the soldiers, emphasizing the "courage and extraordinary valour" of the armed forces. In a social media post, President Murmu urged citizens to take inspiration from the soldiers' sacrifices, stating, "I pay tribute to each soldier who made the supreme sacrifice protecting Mother India in 1999. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!"
Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999 when Indian forces reclaimed strategic positions in Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir, from infiltrating Pakistani soldiers and terrorists. (ANI)
