A group of individuals, allegedly linked to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), created turmoil at a private school in Bhopal, assaulting the school's director, according to an official statement on Friday. The incident occurred at noon on Thursday in the Bawadia Kalan locality.

Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mayur Khandelwal told ANI, "We received a complaint that around 12 pm on Thursday, a group of six to seven people arrived at the private school and manhandled the principal and secretary. The accused also hurled abuse and issued death threats." Following the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 296, 115, 351(3), 324(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sahita (BNS), 2023.

Providing further details, ACP Khandelwal said, "The accused sought to enroll students in their organization. When asked to speak with the principal, who was busy, they became angry and resorted to violence." The link between the accused and ABVP is under investigation.

The ACP confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be arrested soon. School Director Abhinav Bhatnagar told ANI, "Around 10 youths claiming ABVP affiliation demanded donations and student data. When our principal refused, they became aggressive."

Bhatnagar added, "The attackers surrounded my father, the chairman, and abused him. When I intervened, they assaulted me, causing a deep hand wound that required 10 stitches." Teachers and students intervened, allowing Bhatnagar and his father to escape and report the incident to the Shahpura police. He was treated at JP Hospital before lodging an FIR.
