Prime Minister Modi and BJP Leaders Mourn the Loss of Veteran Leader Prabhat Jha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other senior BJP leaders, offered their condolences on the demise of Prabhat Jha, expressing deep sorrow and acknowledging his contributions to the BJP organization, journalism, and public service.

New Delhi [India], July 26 (ANI) — Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief and extended condolences following the passing of senior BJP leader and former MP Prabhat Jha. Modi emphasized Jha's significant role in fortifying the party. Using the social media platform X, Modi stated, "I am deeply saddened by the demise of senior BJP leader and former MP Prabhat Jha ji. I have witnessed his dedication closely and how he actively bolstered the organization."

Modi also underscored Jha's contributions to public service, journalism, and writing. He added, "In addition to his public service work, Prabhat Jha made invaluable contributions in journalism and writing. My condolences to his family and supporters in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!"

Prabhat Jha passed away in Delhi on Friday at the age of 67 after a prolonged illness. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also extended their condolences.

Amit Shah conveyed on X, "The demise of senior BJP leader Prabhat Jha ji is an irreparable loss for the BJP family. Jha ji, who dedicated himself selflessly to the nation and the organization, played a pivotal role in strengthening the party in Madhya Pradesh." Shah added, "As a Rajya Sabha MP, he consistently promoted public interest initiatives. In this time of sorrow, the entire BJP stands with his family. May God grant a place for the departed soul at His lotus feet. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti."

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also honored Jha on X, stating, "Received very sad news of the demise of former State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Madhya Pradesh, senior leader, respected Shri Prabhat Jha ji." Yadav continued, "Baba Mahakal, please grant a place to the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family to endure this tragic loss." (ANI)
