The Indian Army is marking the 25th anniversary of its historic victory in the Kargil War. A two-day celebration in Dras honors the bravery, indomitable spirit, and ultimate sacrifices made by the soldiers who fought in the conflict.
The silver jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas will culminate on Friday with a visit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Kargil War Memorial on July 26, where he will pay homage to the bravehearts.
Today's events were attended by senior officers, gallantry awardees, veterans, and the families of fallen soldiers. Highlights included battle reminiscence at Lamochen View Point, cultural events showcasing India's diversity, and interactions with the local community and NCC cadets.
