During an event jointly organised by The National Commission for Women and The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi raised awareness about the dangers social media platforms pose to women. He highlighted the myriad ways to ensure justice for female victims in society.

'Many incidents keep happening on social media. Our sisters need to be careful while using these platforms. Social media is an easy way for a stranger to reach you. Do not share personal information with strangers. If a woman becomes a victim, she often hesitates to register a complaint with the police due to fear of societal judgment,' Sanghavi stated.

'Women fall prey to social media traps, with predators using fake identities to victimize them. Society often discourages victims from reporting these incidents. We need to create an environment where justice is ensured for women. Gujarat is leading in delivering faster justice for women, thanks to initiatives by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel,' he added. Sanghavi also mentioned that under the leadership of PM Modi, many initiatives have been taken to ensure better justice delivery to women.

NCW Chief Rekha Sharma also addressed the event, emphasizing the need for women to contribute 50 percent to the GDP. 'We have decided to inspire women to become entrepreneurs. These initiatives will continue across all states and Union territories,' she said, aligning with PM Modi's vision of enhancing women's capacities.
