Adani Energy Solutions Ltd announced a net loss of Rs 1,190.66 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024-25, primarily due to exceptional losses linked to the divestment of the Dahanu Thermal Power Plant.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 181.98 crore during the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing. Total income for the quarter rose to Rs 5,489.97 crore, up from Rs 3,772.25 crore in the previous year, while expenses surged to Rs 4,443 crore from Rs 3,124.69 crore.

Honoring its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments, Adani Energy Solutions has decided to divest the Dahanu Thermal Plant, resulting in an exceptional item of Rs 1,506 crore. The company's transmission business also saw growth, adding 190 circuit kilometres and completing the acquisition of Mahan Sipat transmission assets.
