'Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav' to Mark 25 Years of Kargil Victory

The Army Training Command in Shimla will host the 'Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav' on July 24-25 at The Ridge, Shimla, commemorating 25 years of the Kargil victory. Various events, including motivational talks and exhibitions, will honor the bravery of Indian soldiers.

The Army Training Command headquarters in Shimla is set to celebrate 'Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav' at The Ridge from July 24-25, to honor the 25th anniversary of the Kargil victory, according to a press release from the Defence PRO in Chandigarh.

The event will feature a range of activities to pay tribute to the Bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in Operation Vijay. Gallantry Award winners will deliver motivational talks in Shimla schools, aiming to educate the younger generation about the significance of 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' and the heroics of the Indian Armed Forces.

This unique event will include an Army Weapons and Equipment Display, a free Medical Camp, a 'Know Your Army' Exhibition, and various cultural presentations, as well as information stalls about joining the Indian Army. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Ladakh's Drass on July 26 to mark the anniversary.
