EESL to Launch 'Urja Dakshta Dukan': Boosting Accessibility to Energy-Efficient Products

New Delhi, Jul 21 (PTI) – State-owned Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) is set to introduce new retail franchisee shops named 'Urja Dakshta Dukan'. These shops will provide affordable energy-efficient products such as LED lights, ACs, and fans to consumers.
Currently, EESL distributes products through retail tie-ups and its online portal, EESLMART.in. The first franchisee outlets are planned for Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Pan-India franchise invitations will be available on the EESL website starting in August. The company aims to create a widespread network of exclusive retail outlets to drive mass adoption of energy-efficient products.
EESL's franchise model is designed to enhance visibility and accessibility, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. It also supports economic growth by creating business opportunities in the green sector. Franchisees will use EESL's online software for transactions, ensuring efficient inventory management and billing. Centralized procurement and logistics will secure a timely supply of products to retail outlets.
