President Droupadi Murmu has honored 94 personnel of the Armed Forces and the Indian Coast Guard with distinguished service decorations. The accolades were presented during the second phase of the defense investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Friday.

A release from the Ministry of Defence outlined the specifics of the awards. A total of 31 Param Vishisht Seva Medals, four Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, two Bar to Ati Vishisht Seva Medals, and 57 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals were conferred for distinguished service of an exceptional order. The first phase, conducted on July 5, saw President Murmu awarding 10 Kirti Chakras (seven posthumous) and 26 Shaurya Chakras (seven posthumous) to Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State/Union Territory Police personnel.

The awards recognize acts of conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage, and extreme devotion to duty.
