The BJP's Minority Morcha national president, Jamal Siddiqui, reaffirmed that 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (development and trust for all) is the core philosophy of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He likened its importance to a soul in a body, stating that the BJP is nothing without this guiding principle.
In an interview with ANI, Siddiqui addressed comments made by West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who had suggested prioritizing supporters over inclusive development. Siddiqui attributed Adhikari's statements to his recent transition from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and clarified that Adhikari's words were misrepresented.
Siddiqui criticized Adhikari's statement as reflective of emotional distress rather than party principles, emphasizing that the BJP focuses on inclusive growth. He highlighted that the BJP's formation was to fulfill the aspirations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, particularly the upliftment of the marginalized. Siddiqui noted that the central schemes had significantly benefited the Muslim community over the last decade.
Rejecting vote-bank politics, Siddiqui stressed that power is a means of service for the BJP. He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured the welfare of all, including those who don't vote for the party. Modi's 'Garib Kalyan Yojana' prioritizes inclusive development, Siddiqui added, and accused the INDIA bloc of misleading minorities.
Siddiqui responded to Adhikari's contentious remarks about halting 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' by reiterating the slogan's importance. He stated that Adhikari's comments were personal and did not represent the party's stance. Siddiqui concluded by acknowledging the challenges faced by the BJP, emphasizing the commitment to inclusive progress and unity.
