The BJP's Minority Morcha national president, Jamal Siddiqui, has reiterated that 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (development and trust for all) is the essence of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking to ANI, Siddiqui stated that without this guiding principle, the BJP would lack direction and purpose.

Siddiqui addressed recent comments by West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, explaining that Adhikari's statement, 'Jo humare saath, hum unke saath,' was made impulsively. Siddiqui noted that Adhikari's background in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) might influence his perspective but affirmed that he would gradually align with the BJP's inclusive values.

Adhikari's remarks, which suggested prioritizing BJP supporters over others, sparked controversy. Siddiqui countered this, stressing that the BJP's aim is to serve all sections of society, regardless of political affiliations. Siddiqui emphasized that the party has always sought to uplift the most oppressed and that their recent beneficiaries have predominantly been Muslim communities.

Siddiqui highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to inclusive governance through initiatives like the Garib Kalyan Yojana, which prioritizes development for everyone. He accused opposition alliances of misleading minorities but reaffirmed the BJP's stance on embracing and serving all citizens.

Refuting Adhikari's divisive comments, Siddiqui pointed out that 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' remains central to Modi's vision. He acknowledged that Adhikari later clarified his statement was personal and not reflective of BJP policies. Siddiqui assured that the BJP continues to work for the welfare of all citizens, irrespective of their vote in the elections.
