Tri-State Collaboration: Kerala Elephants Savour Tripura's Queen Pineapples

Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum, Suresh Gopi, extended heartfelt gratitude to Tripura Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, for the timely delivery of Queen Pineapples to Kerala. The fruits were used for the elephants at Vadakkumnnatha Kshethram Temple during the Aanayootu ceremony, a traditional feeding ritual.
In a post on X, Minister Gopi acknowledged the contribution with a message: 'Huge thanks to PM Narendra Modi ji & Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha for this sweet gesture! Kerala's elephants loved the GI-tagged Queen Pineapples! This is just the beginning. Let's work together to process & export these delicious fruits.'
Gopi highlighted Tripura's significant contribution to India's pineapple production, noting that the state produces 8.5% of the country's total crop. The gesture, he said, was more than a treat; it symbolized love and respect, strengthening bonds between states. Tripura Chief Minister Saha reciprocated the sentiment, praising the initiative as aligned with the vision of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.'
The Union Minister also thanked Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor, and MLA Dipak Majumder for their roles in the successful initiative. (ANI)
