Singapore's global investment firm Temasek is set to invest approximately USD 10 billion in India over the next three years, according to Vishesh Shrivastav, the company's managing director for investments in India.
India has delivered the highest returns for Temasek over the past decade, holding an overall India exposure of USD 37 billion as of March 2024. Shrivastav emphasized the firm's optimistic outlook on India's potential for high returns and economic stability.
The investment entity will focus on key themes such as digitization, rising consumption, longer lifespans, and sustainable living. Temasek invested USD 3 billion in India last year, marking 7 percent of its overall global exposure. Despite concerns over high valuations and potential policy instability, the company remains committed to disciplined investment strategies to identify lucrative opportunities.
