A committee formed by Delhi University to investigate the vandalism at the Delhi University Students' Union office faces significant challenges due to the absence of CCTV cameras on the premises.

The committee, which convened on Monday, will have to depend on witness testimonies, security guards' accounts, and other tangible evidence, according to DU Proctor Rajni Abbi. Abbi, who chairs the committee, indicated a need to recommend the installation of cameras in their report.

The incident, occurring on the night of July 13-14, has led to tensions between the RSS-affiliated ABVP and NSUI. ABVP has accused NSUI members of the vandalism, while NSUI counters with allegations regarding fake degrees involving ABVP members. The committee aims to deliver a preliminary report within two days and a final one within five days.
