The Delhi Fire Service Personnel (DFSP) have been battling a significant fire that erupted Sunday night at a multi-story building in Mayur Vihar Phase 2. The blaze has ravaged a uniform manufacturing shop and a nearby cafe close to the Neelam Mata Temple.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer SK Dua reported that by the time firefighters arrived, the fire had engulfed all three floors of the building. 'The Delhi Fire Service received the distress call around 11:40 p.m. yesterday. Initially, we were informed that the Jung cafe had caught fire. However, upon arrival, we found the fire had spread to the entire building,' Dua stated Monday.

While no casualties have been reported, one man was rescued from the building's third floor, and one firefighter sustained injuries. 'We have deployed a total of 25 fire trucks. The fire has affected 12 to 15 shops, and lack of proper ventilation contributed to its rapid spread,' Dua added. The fire is now under control, but the damage to properties and internal belongings is extensive.
